Ceremony of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims to be Held Next Week
November 9, 2022
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is an annual global event to remember those who have been killed or seriously injured in traffic incidents, and to acknowledge those affected by their loss.
This year’s ceremony in Newfoundland and Labrador will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the East Block lobby of Confederation Building, St. John’s. There will be a wreath laying ceremony where family, friends, loved ones and co-workers are invited to bring flowers, wreaths or photos. Representatives from law enforcement agencies and other organizations are welcome to bring wreaths and banners.
Parking will be available in front of East Block, and guests are asked to enter using the main entrance facing Prince Philip Drive. Guests who require an accessible entrance can use the blue zone parking behind East Block and enter through the “Public Gallery Entrance.” https://www.gov.nl.ca/releases/2022/dgsnl/1109n02
